So last year we created a tradition of a yearly road trip. This photo is probably my favorite photo. I have learned to love catching that moment where no one is posing by simply being. Today, we made are planes for this summer and mapquested everything. We plan to head to Cannon Beach and then drive the 101 to the Redwood Forest. I am excited although I have to admit that a 9 hour trip in the car with a 2 year old is a little scary. Last year we drove to McCall, Idaho also about 9 hours. It was beautiful at the beach. But the other photo's show that we arrived only to find out that McCall was on fire. So beside a few beach scenes the trip consisted of us watching the helicopters and fire planes go in and out of the airport while it appeared to snow (ash)
