Scrapper's Neck!

Do you ever get scrapper's neck? I know it is not an official name, but my neck is always so sore from looking down all the time. Today, is a good example I have been cutting for a couple hours and my neck is hurting and my head aches. Oh well, it is worth the pain. More artwork tomorrow! Have a good one!

Aspen!

Another workshop using Aspen. I still have a few cards to add, but I am getting there. This week I have spent more time making calls then making cards. I hope to have lots of artwork to show after the All-Day event. I am working on a mini - album which is a free project at the all day. It is designed after a Teresa Black video. But the cool thing is it is my wedding pictures and uses a singing card that I gave my husband for our anniversary. If you cut out the song box you can make it work in your albums. I will post pics on Friday waiting for my CTMH order to arr rive to decorate it!

What I was up to this weekend!

Unfinished Project #1
ABC Book
To teach Carter his ABC's
B is for Boy
I have all the paper mounted and the letters but it needs embellishment, words and some more picture some of letters make finding a picture a little difficult - like X!

So, this weekend I ended up with a weekend off no parties. So I used it to make mass cards for my customers. I made Thank you's and Holiday! I also drove up to the Bellevue Scrapbook Convention and spent some cash. However, I have decided I have to work on a few projects this weekend I have started but never finished. I thought I would post those as well because I have unfinished projects too. I have one other project I have to finish that I will show you tomorrow! The reason I am forcing myself to finish these is because of course I bought three more little projects to do at the Convention!!! AHHH!!!

Let It Snow!

We are nearing the time of the year when snow will come. I have felt the chill in the air the last couple days. So I thought I would make a snow card with the STOM for November. Now the key to this card is the liquid aplique which when heated creates a snow or frosting affect. Very cool. Add a few sparkles and you are ready for the first snow.
ALL CTMH Products used:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Can you believe it is almost time for Turkey... crazy. This is a Stamping Up card I made at my my first stamping up party. So I am in full swing of Christmas card parties...ahhh...scary I know. In about three weeks I will be so sick of Christmas cards. I am however excited for a new spring catalog on it's way. The new stamps and paper will inspire me to move into spring. But for now it is Cranberry and Olive and Chocolate and Autumn Terracotta!

Smile

Smile - and the world smiles with you! Lesson #4 you have taught me. Kids teach you lessons everyday. Lesson about yourself and lessons about life. This was a lesson about how Carter can find happiness in the simplest things and remind me that a smile is infectious!

Stamping and Scrapbooking!

There are alot of scrapbookers out there who have not figured out how to add stamping into their layouts. I was one of them along time ago. This layout goes to show how a little stamping can really add beautiful embelishment to the page. The other great thing about stamping is you can use this embellishment over and over again. The cost per page goes down substantially.

So, I thought I would post a personal picture today of me and some of my closest friends. As we grow closer to Thanksgiving I remember all the things I am thankful for my family, friends and my blessing to do what I love. What are some of the things you are thankful for?

I think today I will sit down and craft for me! It is really rainy and gross here in Washington. I usually love the month of October because they are cold and clear, but November is when the rain rolls in and never stops until February!

It hard for me to post today because my mind is on the election. Now I am in the state of Washington and so our election results are still being totalled. I have to be honest and say that when the election was called I felt like our votes didn't count...it feels that way every year because we are not a battleground state or in the right timezone. So I will not bore you with my political views. I will just say I am in uncertain of where our country is headed and I pray for our safety and our freedom.

It's Fall!

Bob the Builder "Yes He Can"

Last night taking my son out trick or treating I realized it is Fall. Although, it is one of my favorite times of the year. I have to mourn that summer is gone. I know you are thinking Charla...summer has been gone for awhile, but I fell like I just realized it. Life goes so fast and sometimes I feel like I missed a whole season. Do you ever feel that way?
