September STOM

Here are some cards using the STOM for September. These are also the cards that we will make at any home gatherings for the month of September. The STOM is great for creating patterned paper with random stamping. The ink I used on the Just Because is Bamboo and is very faint but pretty. The cards use my favorate new paper packs Notebook and Perfect Day.

Aspen Layout

Here I played with the new paperline Aspen which is perfect for snow and winter shots. I designed the layouts around the pictures I had of Carter. I used Liquid Applicant to create the illusion of snow on the title - you apply it and then add heat it is so cool. I also random stamped the wording with the January Word Puzzle adding liquid glass on the snowflakes so they appear wet.

A breath of fresh air!

This weekend was really busy but we decided to take a day trip to the Ocean - it was Carter's first time he loved it. Paradise for a boy dirt, water and a shovel. It was good for Chris and I as well we needed a breath of fresh air and to be reminded that there is things bigger then us. Not to mention I got some great shots. Artwork tomorow I promise!

In the Neighborhood!

I am blessed to live just inside the woods. We have nearly no neighbors, wildlife, and a beautiful natural waterfall. So Carter and I took a walk to the waterfall. I was so excited to get some beautiful shots that of course I cannot wait to scrapbook. Her are a few. I have been learning to take more pictures of the everyday and the world we are surrounded by. Today, I worked on a layout that has different places we love to go. Now the picture are different years and different places - with one thing in common - we love these places and these are the places we spend are time. I think these places are important for our scrapbook library because they help mold who we are. So my challenge to you is take some photo's of the following categories:
People We Love
Places We Love
Things We Love
Things We Do (everyday things)
Also, if you haven't read Photo Freedom by Stacy Julian - DO it is a must have! I will post my places we love. My next layout idea - Morning Groove.

Paper Piecing

This is a older card from last year, but I wanted to share with you how simple cardstock and stamp set can make such a cute card. All I did was create fringe for hair. Cut out ovals for eyes and stamped a curly eye and some liquid glass for texture. I create the nose by hand. Stamped an arrow from the Star Struck Set. I also stamped the word eek with the September 2007 STOM. I also create a mouth with a black marker.

Can you believe I am making my Halloween and Fall cards. I know I am on top of it! No, just completely inspired from the Convention. I recently purchased the watercolor pencils and the blending pen, if you have not played with these - you are going to love them. You color the image in with the watercolor pencils and then take the blending pen and it is like magic. The colors melt like butter. Check it out on my website or in the back of the catalog page 103.
