Stickles from Dull to Brilliant

I love what a little stickles can do to your cards as simple as they may be. Stickles jewels up the stamped image making it shine. Last night I took stickles and added it to all the simple and plain cards I was creating here is how some of them turned out.

Family Time

This was a quite layout I did mostly to ease my mind. Journaling for me can be theraphy. I think I have gotten over the journaling for the audience. Now I truely journal what I am thinking and feeling and how the moment really touches me. I think thirty years from now this will be more acurate and wonderful to have document. So this weekend take time to journal today!

The Big _O!

So, these week I joined a scrapbook challenge and my first challenge was to scrapbook the big _o or the big 30 for me. If you read the journaling you will see that I like everyone else cannot believe it has snuck up on me. I remember thinking I will never be 30. But as I wrote yesterday I also thought...it doesn't really matter to me. Come a year from now I may change my mind but today I am thankful for my age and the wisdom it has brought.

I Love Cake

I love this layout for it simplicity! I scraplifted it right out of Simple Scrapbooks. Carter's third birthday was at a bouncy house and he was so excited for the cake. He loves to blow out the candles. This year I got his birthday into three layouts. Which I will show you this week.

Be Mine

Here are some Valentine's to get you thinking about the month of February! The first uses a stamp set by CTMH called Whoo Loves You and the Silhouette paper pack. The second uses the February Word Puzzle with a little dootling on my part. Try dootling on a card or a layout...it is releasing to not control the artwork so much!

Copy Cat

It is that age where they follow you around and do everything you do...even clean once and awhile. This my son reading at about 2 1/2 with daddy... just looking for the deals in the auto trader. This is another layout that I got out of a kit from Serendipity Scrapbooks. The Stamp set is Cupcake Sprinkles from CTMH. I love that stamp set! If you don't have it...it is the must have item in the Spring catalog. So this week get inspired to scrap outside of your box.

Top Ten

This layout goes along with yesterday's post about thinking outside the event box. One of my favorate things to scrapbook is our top ten favorite things. I usually do it for each person in the family. My son loves this because alot of the times I am photographing his toys...he loves seeing his toys in the scrapbook. So, as his likes change from toys, sports, to girls over the years...I can document the favorites that shaped his life.
My top ten right now:
1. Scrapbooking
2. Teaching a hard Spin class
3. Word Puzzle stamps from CTMH
4. Scrapbook Kits online
5. Helping someone reach their weight loss goal.
6. Protein Cheesecake (good I swear)
7. My new Cricut and Cuttlebug
8. A HOT cup of tea
9. The Biggest Loser
10. Having real conversations with my three year old son.
What is your top ten? Comment it!

Scrapbook Bootcamp Layout 3

Here is the third layout for scrapbook bootcamp. I like this page because it highlights all the faces and moods of my child. We get so stuck on scrapbooking events that we forget to scrapbook in comparision with other photo's meaning these are not chronological, but the show all the moods my child goes through. We see him happy, sad, teething, curious...I love to scrapbook this way because it gives me limited layout ideas. I also love this type of page because it scrapbooks the everyday moments...the core of who we are rather then what we do!

Snow Again!

Another, snow storm blew in. It really funny because we don't generally see a lot of snow. However, it was warmer and we spent the day sledding and playing. I was inspired to be outside. I caught some amazing pictures of the American Flag flapping in the wind. It reminds me of how blessed we are.
See you tomorrow at the VIP Party!
