I love my new cuttlebug, it is great for adding texture to a card. This is a standard Thank you card I make, but I love having a basic pattern that works. I will often sit and make 40 cards like this at a time. You can never have to many Thank you cards!

Off to create...

Smile...and the whole world smiles with you!

This layout is perfect to show today as...the journalling reflects how I felt yesterday. Most of you mothers will agree...not to mention if you have boys.
Just a note: I am convinved that you where born just to make messes for me to clean up. I have to admit however, that the smile usually wins me over. You are lucky that smile is there. Love you, Mom
Last night was a perfect example of this. We arrived home from the last Christmas Party and for me it is always about where do I fit all this new stuff and what do I get rid of. Not that I am not thankful...I am. I just sometimes wish we got less. So I donate all the old stuff, so at least it goes to some good use. But I arrived home...the house was a mess again...I swear I cleaned it before I left...and then with all the new stuff you could say I was overwelmed. But eventually, my husband got the help and we got it cleaned up.
Ready for the new year.

Lost my Creative MOJO!

So, today is another Christmas...we had to skip Christmas day becuase of the weather so we are off for a belated Christmas this morning.

I did get some cards and some pages finished this weekend, although it was one of those weekends where I was not feeling very crafty at all. It probably because I have taken the last few days off...lost my creative mojo.

Santa Came!

Santa brought my husband stuff for his gym.

Santa brought Carter an Backhoe...or as he calls it ... actually have no idea how to even spell???

Santa brought me the new Cricut...thank goodness because my husband said he would not by me another one. ( He bought the first one 2 Christmas's ago)

Santa also brought the Cuttlebug.

So, Santa came this year. What a was different for us this year because ths snow actually ended up canceling our Christmas day plans. To be honest it was nice to sit at home together and watch movies and eat. We are actually having Christmas tomorrow too. I must have been a good scrapbooker this year because Santa out did himself. He knows that I am a scrapbooker that uses her products rather then just collecting them. Well, I still collect a little I cannot scrap as fast as I shop :0

Love Story

I don't know about you, but I always struggle to scrapbook shower, Christmas, and Birthdays. I think for me it is being put in a box and having 5 billion pictures to sort and choose from. So on this layout I did not fight it ... I just put all the pictures on the page and lessen the time I needed to over embellish. I am glad to have this one finished and move it into my People we love album.

If I had one wish

If I had one wish for you would be that you remember 2 matter what the world has thrown at you...the good the bad the ugly...always believe...always make a wish...always remember to dream.
This page was done to remind my son to always remember to dream...because I believe there are two people in the world...people who always have hope no matter what and people who become hopeless.

We are basically stuck in our house because of another huge storm that has hit our state. We had about 6" of snow and then last night it started again. We probably got another 6" so for me this will be crafting time. I have not finished my Christmas shopping yet so that makes me nervous but I guess in the long run our safety is more important.
My husband has not even started his shopping an swears he is making his way out today! He crazy. Yesterday, before the second storm came in I got my hair done and tried to go to our local mall - no exaggeration I sat in the mall parking lot for over an hour...needless to say I gave up that idea about 15 minutes in.
This card again was inspired by not only the Originals card program, but the second from the last episode of Art and Soul ( You can view this episode on my website I used the new live Daydream and the stamp sets Kanji phrases and Aspirations. I also added a cute pretty pin. All these new products available on 1/1/09!

The Money Card

So, this time of year is a great time to give money or a gift card and our Originals card program has a beautiful template to print out from disk and create your own. This money card was made in about 10 minutes and is using our new Creative basics line Emporium. I love it! It also uses a new stamp set called Kanji Phrases! The ink is Vineyard berry!

Swap Spoiler - What I did in the snow yesterday!

My son first time out - he has been sick all week!

Building a Snow Castle!
So, we like many have been stuck in the house for days because of being sick and because of the weather. It snowed all day yesterday - about 6 -7 inches. We only ventured to the gas station to get milk, cheese, butter, bread to survive until we can make a big shopping trip. Which will likely be today or tomorrow - as word is that another storm will hit with snow, ice and winds up to 90 miles an hour. I am nervous about losing power and staying warm but we will see. So I will keep you up to date and hopefully inspire you to create if you are stuck inside like me!

New Catalog Artwork

So, I have been so sick this week. I have ran a fever for the last four days. So artwork has been slow coming. This however is from a new line called Daydream...very girley and very cute. This card is for a upcoming swap I am doing. I love the new embellishment the new catalog has. The little white flower is a new accessory I know you will love. Hopefully, I will have more for you tomorrow!

Cheezy Christmas Sweater Party!

So every year we head up to my husband friends house for the annual cheezy sweater Christmas party. Last year our sweaters where kinda lame. But this year I found the greatest sweater at the Salvation army. We went with 80's Christmas. My husband sweater was so tight he was getting a radsh on his neck. Thought I would share for a good laugh.

Silly Boy

This layout is done with the new Stardust paper pack. I used some of the negatives from my dimensional elements to create the title. I stamped using Reach for the stars and may word Puzzle. I journal with a piece of paper that looks like notebook paper. The notebook paper was stamped with our journaling stamp and I used a punch from Stampin' UP. More artwork to come as it is frigid cold and I am not leaving the house.

As I unloaded my products from CTMH the other day I thought what a waist...and then it dawned on me...the cardboard would make an excellent board book. So using our Classic Dimensional elements I made the title (cow) BOY and set the pages at different lengths. It turned out so cute. It only took about an hour and I love it.

Key to my Heart Special!

This special is so pretty. I hope to have artwork for you in the next few days. It features the new Spring Blossom color palette. In the kit you get a full paper pack, a E size or $34.95 set of stamps. The cost is $20.00 with a $75.00 purchase and FREE with $130.00 purchase. I love it.

The Tree

So, we got it decorated. I have to admit it is not my favorite. I am used to the perfect fake tree. But my son and my husband love the tree because of the adventure it took us to find in. Four hours in the cold mountains...that was actually really fun. I am working on the rest of the house. We are slowly each year adding more decoration to our home, but it takes time. So enjoy!
