Life is Good

I love this card because it is simple paper piecing. I used a circle from the Endless Friendship set to create the sun. I used a sponge to create the sand. I popped up the sand dunes to give it depth and a realistic look.

Creative Tree Tops

So I took the CTMH tree tops and made myself a cute little face using on top and a trunk for the nose. I drew in the smile or smirk! I love the facial expression and the simplicity of the card. So what can you make with your stamp sets something new and fresh, maybe even funny.

Send a friend a card!

This week I inspire you to send a friend a card. We make all of these beautiful cards but how often do we send them? I know I don't tell the people I love often enough how much I appreciate them in my life. So this week get creative and mail someone you love a card!

Old tool - new shape

Old tool??? The corner rounder...I know an oldie but a goodie. My CTMH corner rounder is my new favorite tool again. You can take it and create this shape as shown above. The dimension on each flower are simply a 1x1 with opposite corners rounded. There is a great class on my business website www.heartofcharla.myctmh.com You can also use this tool to create the scallop punch as well by removing the guard. So take your old tools out and find an new way to be inspired everyday.

Once Apon A Time

I have been trying to challenge myself on scrapbook.com to scrapbook new and different things. So I took on the BOM challenge Book of Me. This is a challenge called once upon a time. So I took the youngest photo I have of myself and scrapbooked it. I have alot of school age stuff, but no really baby stuff.

I think this is one reason I scrapbook now. I have no idea what I looked like or was like when I was a baby. You see my mother did not develop our film for years. When I went to develop it they where all ruined. So I have no real photo's from birth to about five years old. This of course has fueled my need to document everything of my sons life.

The funny thing is that us scrapbookers tend to scrapbook ourselves. So I challenge you to scrapbook an old photo and journal about it from your perspective now. Send it to me and I will post on my blog.

Not committed yet!

This is a layout I have thought about before, so right now I am working on it. Since summer has hit us hard this week, I thought what do we want to do this summer.Hence our summer to do list:
1. Go swimming
2. Pain my toe nails
3. Go to the beach
4. Ride a rollercoaster
I have to think of the rest. I will show it finished maybe tomorrow. I am taking my son to the park and then I am training for 4 hours!!!

NO REGRETS!

It is hard to get in the house when it is beautiful outside and scrap a page. So last night I took on a challenge on Scrapbook.com - the challenge was NO REGRETS there was however rules...one of those rules was it could not be about your husband or your son. I was stumped...then I thought my best friend and I have had some ups and downs (mostly ups). We had one time in out 10 year friendship where we stop speaking all together...but during that time we both realized how much we missed each other. I choose our friendship...because through it all...I have no regrets our struggles have made our friendship stronger and for that I am thankful. We are still growing and learning and as we grow our friendship changes...but honestly through it all I would be lost with out her.

Erica if your reading love u and can you come back from WI. yet I am bored :)
