Out of town but still in touch!
I am out of town but still in touch! Yesterday, was crazy and had me laughing to myself by the end of the evening. I took a flight out of Seattle around 11am arrived in Denver at 2:30pm with a connection at 3:45pm. To my dismay were where of course delayed from 3:50pm to 4:50pm. When I arrived at the gate the announcer told us rather then flying straight to Orlando. We needed to "stop for gas in Tulsa." Can you believe it gas in Tulsa - I thought do they not have gas in Denver? I was angry at first, but when I arrived in Tulsa I realized it was a bite funny - I figure gas is cheaper in Tulsa :) Let me tell you there was nothing going on at the Tulsa airport. Nothing!!! So we all chipped in $20.00 bucks to gas the plane and be on are way to Orlando. (sarcasms I arrived in Orlando at 12:30am starving - me the food planner did not plan on a stop in Tulsa. I had South Beach 100 calorie bars - not enough to hold be over.I get to Orlando, find my shuttle. I get in the shuttle around 1am the driver is cranking the Techno music - if I had a glow stick it would have been a rave. He has no idea where the hotels are so - he is driving down the highway at 60 looking at a map - I could only think I don't care where you drop me as long as we make it in one piece. The hotel is fabulous. I got lost just trying to find the check in. I got a key to a room that I hope had my roommates in it - 1 I have met and 2 I have not. I arrive in the room and hope that in the morning when I wake they recognize me as the correct roomie.So far, the convention has been wonderful. I am excited to learn I am receiving an award and have no idea what for. We have learned alot. I am have met so many people that share my passion and love for scrapbooking. I hope to give you regular updates this week.

Simple Gifts!

You can create your own purse or gift bag with a 12x12 piece of paper and some patterned paper for decorations. Take a 12x12 piece of paper and score vertically in 2" in on the right and left side. Then take the 12x12 piece of paper and score horizontally 5" from top and bottom. Then fold all edges in. Cut the center smallest square on the right and left side both lines to the 2" line this will be a support piece on the inside of the purse. I then use hot glue. Add two 1" pieces 12x1 as the handles. I decorate with patterned paper, ribbon, and decorate small gifts to add inside.

Nursery Bash

Still coloring! Just playing with my new stamp set Nursery Bash and coloring with my CTMH markersbarn red and sunny yellow. I used liquid glass to shine the nose and the spots. This week is about finding inspiration and summer. Enjoy!

I am Playing this week!

This week I am taking the week to create cards to swap at the Orlando CTMH convention! I am excited to just play with my CTMH products. I also plan on enjoying the sun! This is Nursery Bash and I used Blush to color, I added liquid glass on the noses to appear wet and I added liquid applique to make the frosting look white. I hope to post lots of artwork this week so stay tuned.

Orlando Swap

So as you all know I am leaving for the CTMH Convention in about 23 days and I have been preparing cards to swap with other CTMH consultants. This is my first convention so I am really excited. I will be there from 7/29 - 8/3 and I am excited to come back with more knowledge to pass on to you! We will get to see all the new fall products yay! I am excited for the inspiration I know I will recieve by being with consultants that share the same passion as I do! Enjoy, the rest of your weekend!

Sweet Treat

I have been wanting to make cards with cupcakes and ice creams, so the other day a friend and I went down to Olympia to a Little Piece of Heaven and I bought some items to make cards. Feeling guilt for having to much stuff - I made myself come home and create cards! Most of these were made without CTMH stuff. I did however you CTMH stamps. Creating these were easy because I just mounted the bases and stamped a saying. This in turn inspired me to get about 25 cards ready to swap in Orlando. For the last few weeks I have been working on my CTMH contest entry so I was glad to do cards! Enjoy! Remember, if you are bored tomorrow stop by my house for card club at 2:00pm.

My Creative Space!

Welcome to my creative space! This is where my artwork happens! I am also excited to let you know I am creating a second room for you - my customers, friends and teammates in a spare room for all my workshops! So vote what you want to see for a CTMH color palette. Vote regardless of if you will ever come to my house!

This sits right next to me for easy access to my stamps, current projects, cards, embellishments and other goodies. I organize my stamp sets by the color on the front.

Behind me I store on another shelf all my ribbons, buttons and Cricut.

This is the full picture of what is behind me! I store my paper in two cases one is cardstock the other is patterned paper. I also store my catalogs, idea books, projects stuff, and hostess purses for party bookings. Right above the bookshelf my husband has 180 gallon fish tank that you can see the living room through.

Look for the survey on what the next room will look like. I believe that I am able to accomplish so much because of my room and the set up. It is truly my creative space and I love being in it. Remember no matter how big or small create your own space and get inspired!!!
